How to Navigate to the Carnival of Doom Quest in Once Human
Firstly, before we begin to the actual navigation, we have created a quest overview:
- Quest Name: Carnival of Doom
- Quest Type: World Task
- Recommended Level: 10
- Location: Junkyard in Broken Delta, southwest of Meyer’s Market
- Objective: Defeat Chuckles in a rigged game of Russian Roulet
This is the official terms associated with the Carnival of Doom quest. Although the recommended level is 10, you can even clear it at lower levels depending on how good you are with the controls. You can locate the starting point of the quest in the southwest of Meyer’s Market in the Junkyard POI. The area is armed with Rosetta soldiers who need to be defeated first. Ensure you have your weapons upgraded to the maximum capacity to easily kill off the soldiers without taking too much damage.
When you reach the Junkyard, go to the railroad terminal in the center. You will notice a group of Rosetta soldiers playing a game together. Get rid of them, then interact with the revolver on one of the crates to begin the mission.
Carnival of Doom Quest Overview
Make sure to follow these steps to start the quest:
- Locate the Junkyard: Travel to the Junkyard situated in the Broken Delta region, specifically southwest of Meyer’s Market.
- Enter Warehouse 17: Within the Junkyard, find and enter Warehouse 17. Be prepared to confront Rosetta Soldiers guarding the area.
- Interact with the Pistol: Inside the warehouse, you’ll discover a glowing revolver resting on some crates. Interact with this pistol to trigger a cutscene introducing Chuckles the Clown and commence the quest.
Upon initiating the quest, you’ll find yourself in a surreal, toy-like dimension dominated by Chuckles. The primary objective is to defeat him in a game of Russian Roulette. However, the game is rigged in Chuckles’ favor. To outsmart him, follow these steps:
1. Avoid Immediate Engagement – Do not engage in the game with Chuckles right away, as this will lead to inevitable failure due to the rigged setup.
2. Activate Spacetime Vision – Press ‘Q’ to activate your Spacetime Vision. This ability will reveal a cable extending from the roulette table to a concealed area.
3. Trace the Cable – Follow the illuminated cable to a wall, behind which another figure resembling Chuckles is manipulating the game.
4. Request a Break – Return to Chuckles and select the dialogue option indicating you need some fresh air. This will prompt him to unlock a nearby door, granting you access to the area behind the wall.
5. Confront the Deceptive Clown – Proceed through the unlocked door and navigate to the room where the second Chuckles is operating the cheating mechanism. Since firearms are disabled in this dimension, equip a melee weapon. Approach stealthily and eliminate him.
6. Disable the Cheating Device – After neutralizing the second Chuckles, interact with the Roulette Cheating Device to deactivate it, ensuring a fair game.
7. Challenge Chuckles Again – Return to the main area and accept Chuckles’ challenge once more. This time, choose to pull the trigger yourself. With the cheating mechanism disabled, the game will proceed in your favor, leading to Chuckles’ defeat.
